Join us in Wisconsin's Driftless Region for this comprehensive Euronymphing experience.
If you’re relatively new to Euronymphing, welcome to this fun and effective method. You’ll love catching more fish! If you’re a more seasoned euronympher, you’ll be excited for the opportunities to raise your game by learning the same methods and techniques used by competitive anglers. During several instructional classes throughout the school, we’ll lay the groundwork and goals of Euronymphing with a focus on casting, managing the drift, and effective presentation with tension or tightline methods.
On that solid foundation, we’ll discuss alternative presentations (drift manipulation) and troubleshooting the drift—essential tools for success. We’ll then dive into the world of finesse techniques, using minimally weighted flies from long range to target difficult fish, and the deadly Euro dry-dropper. Josh will share many of the tricks he taught as coach to Team USA Youth, leading the team to gold medal success. We’ll cover all aspects of rigging and gear, including evaluating and selecting the right rod and reel for you. In the workshops each evening, you'll build leaders and practice knots. During the on-stream portion of the instruction, you'll see casting, line management, drift, and drift-manipulation demonstrations. Then you'll get the opportunity to practice and fish under the guidance of Jason, Josh, and other qualified instructors. Working one-on-one on the water, under the watchful eye of experts, will ensure you're ready to go!
Josh and Jason teach this program at training camps for Team USA Youth competitors.
With the skills you’ll learn in the course, you’ll see your catch rate skyrocket this year!
